Xcelerate Group is holding an open Education Hack on this Thursday, June 08 – and we are seeking individuals with big ideas to attend and have an input on our activities!
Xcelerate Group is focused on promoting international connections through mentorship programs with students across the globe. We have partners in many countries – China, Japan, and South Africa to name a few – and many of our mentors have been able to travel across the globe with our programs. Domestically, we have guiding programs across both Oxford and Cambridge with unique walks, talks, and activities for students of all ages visiting the UK.
With the goal of developing more competitive internships and new projects within the team, we are inviting fresh minds to a one-day event where we ask for input on our projects and give you the chance to develop your ideas for social entrepreneurship.
The Hack will take place at the Future Business centre (CB12LD): 47 Norfolk Street, from 10:00 – 17:00.
Lunch is provided, and we will dedicate the first half of our day to a discussion about the future of our social enterprise (projects, the social impact we currently make, as well as the long-term goals and progress of Xcelerate Group). The second half of our day will be designed to give you the authority to have input on our work and asking you to brainstorm potential improvements. We’ll select the people with the best ideas and continue to develop them into effective projects.
This is a great way to see if education innovation and educational social impact is for you, as well as a way to explore the social enterprise/start-up world. With huge capacity for personal growth as part of a team where you really matter, my opinion is that it’s one of the best starting opportunitites anyone could take in this area.
Spaces are limited to 20 and it’s a first come policy so RVSP quickly. Please respond to Paula (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any dietary requirements for the lunch provided.
Hope to see you soon,
Donna & Paula
