[CONFERENCE] Cambridge Africa Day Conference
In commemoration of Africa day, the African Society of Cambridge University (ASCU) is proud to announce the third annual ‘Africa Together’ conference to be held on the 10th of June 2016. This year’s conference is themed ‘Engendering an Inclusive Africa’, and will be held at the Cambridge Union Society of Cambridge University.
The event promises to be one of the largest and most diverse commemorations of Africa Day in the UK, and we would welcome your participation.
The ‘Africa Together’ conference intends to bring together thought leaders across fields to ignite critical discourse around the paradigm shifts contributing to the Africa we foresee. The day will include keynote addresses as well as panel discussions, exhibitions and performances by African artists. Some of the confirmed speakers include Kanayo F. Nwanze, president of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Fadumo Qasim Dayib, presidential candidate for Somalia, Madjiguene Sock, partner at Dalberg Africa, Olajumoke Adenewo, AD Consulting and Johnson Ememandu, head of commercial banking, Access Bank UK. Also featured are Donald Molosi, actor/writer and official Ambassador for Brand Botswana, Imad Mesdoua, political analyst for Africa Matters Limited and guest commentator for the BBC, Al Jazeera and France 24, Muna Onuzo, president of the Foundation for Women in Film and Television.
